Research

At Strong Microbials, we put science first. We apply academic discoveries to agriculture's impending needs.

The Scientific method is the foundation for creating consistency and efficacy in all of our products. We test every batch of bacteria before it leaves our building. In microbiology, colony-forming units, or a CFU is a unit used to estimate the number of viable bacteria or fungal cells in a given sample. Each one of our blends meets and exceeds CFU requirements.

We further validate the efficacy of our products through the analysis of field samples. Farmers using our premium
SuperSile® inoculants can send samples to Dairyland Labs (or the lab of their choice).

We pay for the tests and share the results with the farmer. This allows the farm nutritionist to make feed or management adjustments. These independent evaluations also benefit our understanding of our inoculants' performance.

At our own facilities located in Milwaukee's Riverwest area, we use our urban rooftop research apiary to study honeybee health and the benefits of SuperDFM®-Honeybee™. We collaborate with beekeepers throughout the country and the world to develop solutions to their problems. Our focus is always on natural microbial products that are friendly to the environment, bees, animals, and people.

Honeybee Research

This pie chart of honeybee gut microbiome underscores relative abundance of lactic acid bacteria

Lactic acid bacteria (green) are abundant and

important members of the honey bee gut microbiome.

These bacteria provide multiple health benefits to honey bees.
