4 Strains of Bacteria for Perfect Fermentation
SuperSile® ingredients: Lactic Acid Bacteria species P. acidilactici, E. faecium, L. casei, and L. plantarum act in relay to start the fermentation at neutral pH 7 and rapidly bring it down to pH 3.5. This keeps the feed cool.
Amylase enzyme converts the available starch in the ensiled materials to sugars.
Cellulase enzyme breaks up the cellulose cell walls so more of the feed gets digested and converted to energy for production.
Pectinase breaks down pectin in the cell wall as an additional digestion aid.
Xylanase converts xylose to usable sugars.
Bacillus pumilus acts as an oxygen scavenger by reducing the oxygen pockets as well as secreting bacteriocins to limit plant cell respiration and reduce the number of undesirable bacteria, yeasts, and molds. This process saves the available sugars for the lactic acid-producing bacteria.
